FAVOURITE COLOUR: At the moment, it’s a tie between aqua and purple but it changes all the time.
FAVOURITE SONG: That’s an impossible question. There are literally thousands of songs that I love. Probably something by Robbie Williams. He has provided pretty much the soundtrack to my life so far.
FAVOURITE BOOK: Again, impossible. I love reading gritty crime novels (Peter James, Amy Lloyd, James Patterson, Martina Cole), a bit of chick lit now and then (Paige Toon, Lisa Jewell, Jane Fallon) and the legends that are Roald Dahl, Enid Blyton and of course, Agatha Christie. No one comes close to her talent. Recently, I’ve read Brightstorm by Vashti Hardy and it’s just incredible. If you haven’t read it yet, you’re missing out.

FAVOURITE TV SHOW: Of all time it is Only Fools and Horses. Recently, I have discovered Black-ish which is hilarious and so clever. I also love Grey’s Anatomy, Supernatural, Modern Family, How to Get Away With Murder and good old EastEnders. If you had asked me 15 years ago, it would have been Friends or ER. Both are as close to TV perfection as you can get.
LIKES: Spending time with my family (obviously); writing children’s novels (again, obvs); Robbie Williams; 90’s pop; any Tom Hanks film ever; watching re-runs of Only Fools and Horses, Friends and The Office; Robbie Williams; drinking tea; chocolate; Robbie Williams; animals; pub quizzes; puzzles; cheese and onion crisps; Robbie Williams; curry; Hot Fuzz and rugby. Oh, and Robbie Williams.
DISLIKES: Coffee; sweetcorn; celery; when people add a random ‘k’ to words like something or anything; mean people; cruelty of any kind; remakes of great films – just leave them alone and speak to some struggling scriptwriters…you might just find a hidden gem.
RANDOM FACT: I am highly allergic to rye so if I were to eat pumpernickel bread (which is the surname of my main protagonist), I would probably implode. So that’s fun.
